Trauma-informed practice is increasingly expected in Title IX and civil rights investigations, yet many professionals struggle with how to apply these principles without compromising neutrality, evidentiary evaluation, or due process.

This interactive training provides a practical and legally grounded framework for integrating trauma-informed practices into investigative work while maintaining fairness and credibility assessments that withstand scrutiny.

Participants will explore how trauma may influence memory, communication, and behavior, while also learning how investigators must avoid equating emotional presentation with credibility or responsibility.

Camie Cooperman
Founder, Equity Compliance Solutions, LLC

Camie Cooperman is the founder of Equity Compliance Solutions and brings nearly 20 years of experience as a civil-rights executive in K–12 and higher education. She previously served in senior Title IX and civil-rights leadership roles within a large urban school district and a large college, and now works nationally with institutions as an investigator, decision-maker, hearing officer, trainer, advisor, and consultant.
