Camie is the founder and owner of Equity Compliance Solutions, a boutique woman-owned civil rights consulting firm that provides independent investigations, adjudicative services, compliance consulting, training, and expert witness services to PreK-12 schools, higher education institutions, attorneys, and organizations nationwide. With more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning both K-12 and higher education, Camie helps educational institutions and legal counsel navigate complex civil rights matters with independence, integrity, and practical judgment.

Through Equity Compliance Solutions, Camie serves as an external investigator, hearing officer, decision-maker, appeals officer, interim Title IX and civil rights leader, trainer, consultant, and expert witness. She partners with educational institutions and legal counsel to provide objective, defensible, and practical solutions in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, disability accommodations, employee misconduct, and institutional compliance. As an expert witness, she provides  opinions in civil rights litigation involving Title IX, institutional response, student safety, standards of care, educator misconduct, and compliance with federal civil rights laws.

As the inaugural Chief Title IX Officer for Chicago Public Schools, Camie established and led one of the nation's first comprehensive PreK-12 civil rights departments. She oversaw the Office of Student Protections and Title IX and the Equal Opportunity Compliance Office, ensuring compliance with Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and other federal, state, and local civil rights laws for a district serving more than 300,000 students and 40,000 employees. She also led the District's response to allegations of corporal punishment and physical abuse. In recognition of her expertise, Camie was invited to present at the Title IX 50th Anniversary Congressional Briefing in 2022, hosted by the Democratic Women's Caucus. She has also consulted with educational institutions nationwide to develop and strengthen civil rights compliance programs, policies, and institutional response systems in their institutions.

Earlier in her career, Camie served as Vice President and Title IX Coordinator at the University of Phoenix, where she led institution-wide civil rights compliance efforts and oversaw responses to student and employee misconduct, discrimination complaints, and other complex compliance matters across a large national university system.

Camie holds a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Maryland. She is known for providing thoughtful, impartial, and practical guidance that helps institutions navigate complex civil rights matters with confidence while fostering legally compliant and equitable learning and working environments.

Camie believes that effective civil rights compliance extends beyond legal compliance, it requires thoughtful leadership, fair and impartial processes, and practical solutions that build trust, reduce risk, and strengthen institutions.
